DiskPort ("the App") is a macOS utility developed by Jimmy Lv ("we", "us", "our"). We built DiskPort with a simple privacy philosophy: your data is yours, and it never leaves your Mac.

Data We Collect

None.

DiskPort does not collect, transmit, store, or process any personal data. We have no servers that receive data from the App. We have no analytics. We have no tracking pixels. We have no user accounts.

How the App Works

DiskPort scans directories on your local file system (specifically, ~/Library/Developer/ and related Xcode storage locations) to calculate file sizes and display storage usage. All of this processing happens entirely on your Mac.

Full Disk Access

DiskPort may request Full Disk Access permission on macOS. This permission is required to scan certain protected directories within ~/Library/Developer/. This access is used exclusively for local file size calculation and is never used to read file contents or transmit data externally.

iCloud Sync

If you enable iCloud sync in the App's preferences, DiskPort will sync only your settings and preferences (such as cleanup thresholds, notification preferences, and UI layout choices) via iCloud. No file paths, project names, or storage usage data is synced.

iCloud sync is handled entirely by Apple's CloudKit framework and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Third-Party Services

DiskPort does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use:

App Store Purchase Data

When you purchase DiskPort Pro via the Mac App Store, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive your name, email, payment method, or any personally identifiable information from Apple. We only receive anonymized, aggregated sales data through App Store Connect.

Children's Privacy

DiskPort does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Since no personal data is collected, the App complies with COPPA, GDPR, and other applicable children's privacy regulations by design.

Data Retention

Since we collect no data, there is nothing to retain or delete. All App data (preferences, cached scan results) is stored locally on your Mac and can be removed by deleting the App.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change our privacy practices, we will update this page and the effective date above. Since our core principle is "no data collection," any change toward collecting data would be communicated prominently within the App before taking effect.
